Every year on September 15th, virtually or in person, people across the world hand out their own money to complete strangers, asking the recipients to pass on half to someone else. By sharing in this way, the goal is to spark the spirit of kindness and show that a more generous world is possible.
How to get involved
With the Covid-19 situation varying across regions, you have three options to take part in Free Money Day 2020:
1. Leave money as a surprise
Spark the spirit of generosity by hiding two banknotes with a message to pass one on.
Write a note + find a location + leave money for someone to find!
2. Share money in person
Galvanize and inspire your community by setting up an event in your local area.
Find a public place + give out two coins or notes at a time!
3. Give away money digitally
Connect with people across the world by giving money digitally or hosting a virtual event.
Select recipients + send money via a digital payment platform!
